A Little Autumn Nostalgia, Music, Memories & Moments

Your danceSing Quiz, 19 to 24 October 2026 Quiz Title A Little Autumn Nostalgia, Music, Memories & Moments Description As October brings crisp mornings, colourful landscapes and cosy evenings, join us for a delightful quiz celebrating the sights, sounds and memories of autumn. From classic songs and familiar television favourites to seasonal traditions, British countryside and memorable moments from years gone by, this quiz is designed to spark smiles, conversation and a little friendly competition. Perfect for bringing everyone together, sharing stories and celebrating the wonderful memories that connect us. Topic Autumn nostalgia, classic music, British culture, television, seasonal traditions, nature and reminiscence. Include a varied selection of accessible multiple choice questions covering familiar songs and singers from the 1950s to the 1980s, classic television programmes, autumn wildlife, harvest traditions, British landmarks and everyday life through the decades. Goals Create an engaging, uplifting and inclusive quiz for older adults, including people living in care settings. The quiz should: * Encourage reminiscence, inspire memories of music, traditions and experiences from earlier decades. * Stimulate cognitive engagement, through general knowledge, recognition and gentle recall. * Promote social connection, encourage conversation, laughter and shared experiences. * Support confidence and participation, use a mixture of easy and moderately challenging questions, with three answer options. * Celebrate individuality, invite participants to share personal stories and memories without pressure. Recommended format: 20 questions, three multiple choice answers per question, a friendly and encouraging tone, suitable for individual or group participation. My suggestion: Keep this week’s quiz nostalgic and uplifting, rather than introducing Halloween too early. It will also create a lovely progression from last week’s Autumn Leaves and Golden Moments, with Halloween taking centre stage the following week.
